Working at home
can be a challenge, but it also has many rewards. Here are some tips:
1.) Set goals, including a daily, weekly and monthly goal.
2.) Keep track of what you are doing, plan for your day ahead of time.
3.) Be held accountable! If you are going to play all day, schedule it in.
4.) Don't take rejection personally. Keep going! Play for "100 No's" to keep you
going.
5.) Post the benefits of working at home where you will see them! Like on your
computer, bathroom mirror, or fridge.
6.) Schedule in playtime!
7.) Keep business hours.
8.) Include your family in planning for the month and assign them chores they can
help with. Remind them of the benefits of you staying at home.
9.) Remember to stay positive. If you are having a bad day, go do something else
and come back to it.
10.) Stay organized. Folders, files, labels, a calendar, etc. This will really help you keep track of customers, parties,
expenses, and taxes.
GETTING STARTED
You can start a business with your friends and family, but you won't grow one!
- Remember to ask for referrals! Everyone knows someone you don't
- Always have a business card, and when meeting someone new, share!
- Use your product daily, and be ready to answer questions!
- Make a list of everyone you know, and let them know what you are doing! Invite them to help you get started. Don't forget
friends from the good old days!
- When talking to friends, invite them over to play, or to host their own party to help you and go on a free shopping spree!
Remember to tell their guests to invite a friend for a discount or free gift!
- Have an Ice Cream Potluck! Invite everyone to come check out your products and bring a topping!
- Have fun!
GOAL SETTING!
Setting goals each month gives you something
to work for! It may be a promotion goal set by the company, or just a sales and recruiting goal set by you. Even if it is
only 1 party a month, set your goal! It gives you a map to follow! After you set your monthly goals, look ahead 6 months,
and then a year! Where would you like to be 5 years down the road? Remember those goals and use them to keep you on track!
Now that you set goals, find your why!
Why are you doing what you are doing? Is it money, to be home with your kids, to get out of the house? Find your “why”
and post it some where you can look at it! This will remind you to keep on track!
My monthly goal (personal sales/recruits):
My 6 months goal:
My 1 year goal:
